Community Standards

Last updated: June 10, 2026

Our Commitment

NurtureLoop is built on trust, respect, and professionalism. Every educator, centre director, and team member plays a role in making this community safe, welcoming, and effective. These standards outline the behaviour we expect and will enforce.

1. Treat Everyone with Respect

  • Communicate politely and professionally in all messages and reviews.
  • Do not discriminate based on race, gender, religion, age, disability, or any protected characteristic.
  • Give and receive feedback constructively.
  • Resolve disagreements calmly and, if needed, involve NurtureLoop support.

2. Be Reliable

  • Only accept shifts you are confident you can complete.
  • Arrive on time and stay for the full scheduled duration.
  • Notify the centre immediately if an emergency prevents attendance.
  • Honour your commitments — cancellations impact children, staff, and families.

3. Keep Information Accurate

  • Upload genuine, unexpired certifications and licences.
  • Represent your experience, qualifications, and availability truthfully.
  • Update your profile promptly when circumstances change.
  • Do not falsify documents or misrepresent your identity.

4. Maintain Professional Boundaries

  • Focus on the children's well-being and educational outcomes at all times.
  • Follow each centre's policies, emergency procedures, and confidentiality rules.
  • Do not share photos or personal information about children or staff outside the centre.
  • Do not use the Platform to solicit romantic relationships or personal services.

5. Safety First

  • Report unsafe working conditions, incidents, or suspected policy violations promptly.
  • Follow all Alberta health and safety regulations.
  • Ensure you have valid First Aid/CPR certification before working with children.
  • Never work under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

6. Reviews and Ratings

  • Rate and review based on actual experiences.
  • Be honest but fair — avoid personal attacks or inflammatory language.
  • Do not manipulate ratings through fake reviews or coordinated campaigns.
  • Understand that reviews help the whole community make better decisions.

7. Enforcement

Violations of these standards may result in warnings, temporary suspension, or permanent removal from the Platform. Serious violations — including harassment, fraud, or endangering children — will result in immediate account termination and may be reported to authorities.

Reporting Concerns

If you experience or witness behaviour that violates these standards, please report it through the Platform or contact support@nurtureloop.ca. We take every report seriously and will investigate promptly.
