Cancellation Policy

Last updated: June 10, 2026

Overview

We understand that plans change. This Cancellation Policy explains how educators, centres, and subscribers can cancel shifts and subscriptions while maintaining fairness and reliability for everyone in the community.

1. Shift Cancellations by Educators

  • More than 24 hours before shift start: Cancel without penalty. Notify the centre through the Platform as soon as possible.
  • Within 24 hours of shift start: Cancel only for emergencies. Repeated last-minute cancellations will impact your Reliability Score.
  • After shift start (no-show): Treated as a no-show and governed by the No-Show Policy.

To cancel, go to your shift details and select "Cancel Shift." The centre will be notified automatically.

2. Shift Cancellations by Centres

  • More than 24 hours before shift start: Cancel without penalty. The educator will be notified and can accept other opportunities.
  • Within 24 hours of shift start: NurtureLoop strongly discourages cancellations this close to the shift. If unavoidable, the centre should message the assigned educator directly through the Platform.
  • After shift start: Centres may not cancel a shift after it has begun. Disputes should be escalated to NurtureLoop support.

3. Subscription Cancellations

  • Centres may cancel their NurtureLoop subscription at any time through Account Settings.
  • Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
  • No partial refunds are provided for unused days within a billing cycle.
  • Reactivation is simple — just log in and resume your subscription. Historical data is preserved.

4. Refunds

Refund eligibility depends on the circumstances of the cancellation. See our Refund Policy for full details on when refunds are issued.

5. Impact on Reliability

Cancellations affect your Reliability Score. Frequent or late cancellations may result in:

  • Reduced visibility in search results.
  • Fewer shift invitations.
  • Temporary suspension from the Platform.

We track cancellations, completion rates, and no-shows to calculate a fair and transparent Reliability Score.

6. Force Majeure

In cases of extreme weather, public health emergencies, or other force majeure events, NurtureLoop may waive cancellation penalties. Decisions are made on a case-by-case basis.
